Though still traditional, the construction industry across Africa is rapidly evolving with emerging technologies and process. As this expands, there is a need for an annual review of the present state of the adoption of BIM in the industry and the expression of expert opinion on the strategies for improvement. The African BIM Report would be strategically placed to provide an intriguing overview of the state of BIM across the African continent. The report will highlight selected projects for showcase, expert (subject leader) opinion and a pan-African BIM survey. The report would be scheduled as a consistent annual document to be authored by the Research and Development Committee in partnerships with global institutions of aligned interest.
Selected Construction and Infrastructure projects across the Continent would be featured in the report. These projects would display some level of adoption of digital technologies with measurable impact of the deployment.
Opinions and articles from subject matter experts (BIM & Digital Technologies) across Continent would be featured in the report. These individuals possess commendable experience and authority required to express an insightful opinion on the expected knowledge areas.
