"Essentials of Smart Building Technology" course certified by BIM Africa

The course titled “Essentials of Smart Building Technology (SBT)” by Blaze Academy educates on the essentials of a smart home delivery by providing a beginner level understanding on how technologies that go into a smart building are merged with the building delivery process to create a unified product.

The structure of the course is divided into three (3) progressive parts and then further categorized into chapters totalling twelve (12). The course provides well-researched references for the information shared which is easily verifiable while also serving as guide to additional learning sources for prospective participants. A brilliant addition to the course is the Quiz section introduced at the end of every chapter which further allows course participants to reinforce knowledge gained while flexibly offering them the opportunity for corrections and a retake of each quiz before proceeding to the next chapter.

After a detailed review by the Certification and Membership committee, the course has now been certified by BIM Africa. Upon completion, Certificate to be issued to learners is endorsed by BIM Africa. 30% discount has also been granted for the first 30 BIM Africa members to enrol for the course. Beyond the possibilities with Smart Building Technology, it takes a collaborative and innovative delivery vehicle – that is the focus of the second part of the course. Lots of digital transformation and trends were explored interactively.

The third part of the course put the first two parts into the application. It started by exploring the peculiarities of Smart Home delivery in African Cities. It ended by offering a business perspective to Smart Home delivery.
