In response to the increasing visibility and operations of the initiative, there is a need for enhanced management with presence across sufficient geographic regions of Africa. This is a CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS to participate in the management and operations of the initiative. Active members of the initiative are welcomed to express interest.
BIM Africa Initiative is a civil society organization formed to enable and regulate the adoption and implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the Architecture Engineering, Construction and Operations (AECO) industry across Africa.
With a focus on the SDGs 9, 11, and 17; BIM Africa aligns with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by fostering innovation in the Construction Industry through local and global partnerships towards the delivery of Smart, Resilient and Sustainable Infrastructure and Urban Development.
The African-wide advocacy for BIM adoption and implementation is reinforced by extensive academic and market research programs, certification programs, locally-adapted standards, chapters, volunteer and professional development opportunities.

Country Representative(s): Saddled with the responsibilities of organising and leading Chapters and In-Country engagements in various African countries. Participating in a two-year tenure, they ensure sustained conversations amongst members of BIM Africa in the various countries and towards increased footprints across the continent. Operational expenses will be fully provided as required.
Committee Lead/Membership: Participate in an active role or lead an existing or new Committee of the initiative. Suggestions of new committee require adequate justification and objectives for constitution. Operational expenses will be fully provided as required.
Communications Executive: Manage the existing official communication channels of the initiative available in various digital mediums (email, telephone, website, virtual office, social media, et al). Enlisted into the Operations & Programs Committee with direct reporting to the ED. Adequate working knowledge of listed digital tools is required. Operational expenses will be fully provided as required.
Marketing & Events Manager: Oversee and manage all events (Physical, Virtual and Hybrid) of the initiative. Enlisted into the Operations & Programs Committee with direct reporting to the ED. Prior experience in events management is essential. Operational expenses will be fully provided as required.
Policy & Advocacy Manager: Oversee the evolving engagement of BIM Africa with Policy and Public Authorities alongside initiating strategic projects and engagements with essential institutions in line with the 2025 Strategic Plan of the initiative. Enlisted into the Operations & Programs Committee with direct reporting to the ED. Operational expenses will be fully provided as required.
Business Development Strategist: Conceptualize and develop ideas and strategies for sustained growth and expansion of the initiative in line with the 2025 Strategic Plan. Enlisted into the Operations & Programs Committee with direct reporting to the ED. Operational expenses will be fully provided as required.
Fundraising Executive: Develop and design approaches for raising operational finance for existing and new activities of the initiative. Enlisted into the Operations & Programs Committee with direct reporting to the ED. Operational expenses will be fully provided as required.
Other considerations for engagement are also welcomed. Sufficient reward system to incentivize voluntary contributions to the initiative has been designed.
