In line with the vision of a digital built industry across the region, BIM Africa facilitated a BIM Workshop at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria last week.
The event, which is a part of the BIM Africa Academic Partnership Program (APP), held at The Hall, Department of Architecture, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, on the 5th of February 2020.
Welcomed to the campus with a tour by the Head of Department, Architecture, the facilitators engaged in deliberations with the Dean of Environmental Sciences and the Dean of Engineering Faculty’s office to discuss the APP Program. The BIM Africa Student Advocates for the institution were also present to contribute and interact with the facilitators.
We also met and discussed with SAP student advocate team before the workshop.
During the workshop, students and lecturers from various departments in the faculties of Environmental Sciences and Engineering were present thus filling the hall to the brim. The interactive session after the presentation witnessed an active conversation.
The future of every industry relies majorly on quality education. Contributing to the intellectual capacity of individuals studying various courses across the Construction industry should be a priority for every organisation. This is a part of our activities to collaborate with academia to better equip the students for the Digital Transformations and the industry ahead of them. We anticipate a progressive engagement with the institution.
