Dahbia Meddahi – CEO IPFIG. Algeria
Dahbia is the Founder and Director of IPFIG Technological Innovations. At IPFIG, she develops quality partnerships with product companies (Autodesk, FARO, ALPI, PROSYS, CGS LAB, etc) to support clients with technological solutions that optimize their processes and help them master their data, in the areas of AEC, GIS, industry and heritage. IPFIG is, in her opinion, a Start-up which must continuously monitor technology and adapt its products and services according to the needs and requirements of its customers and technological developments. As an Architect & BIM Manager, she specialises in digitization and reverse engineering, Scan to BIM, and has had the opportunity to participate in several BIM projects involving the realization of Digital Twin highly useful for Exploitation & operation maintenance.
Vikram Bhujun – Managing Director, Prodesign, Mauritius
Vikram is a Chartered Building Services Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. He is a leading expert in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and a pioneer in the use of innovative technologies for the advancement of the sector. He is the founder of Prodesign, a highly successful and technologically advanced consulting engineering firm in Mauritius. His expertise in BIM is unparalleled, having introduced the technology to Prodesign in 2007 and leading numerous R&D projects to promote its use. He has a deep interest in digital construction and the application of technology to improve productivity, reduce waste, and help clients build faster and greener buildings.
Kaouthar Jedda – General Manager, BIM Tunisia
Kaouthar Jedda is a Tunisian architect with practising experience on a number of Architecture projects in Jordan and Tunisia (Al Mishkat, Tarek Ben Miled Architects, ZIN Architecture, and Art-Lab). She founded BIM Tunisia in 2018, specialised in BIM implementation and new technologies for the building and construction sector companies. As a BIM Consultant and BIM Instructor, she conducted the first architectural project using BIM in Tunisia, with the architect Tarek Ben Miled on the project of MAN University at Ivory Coast. On the road to developement, BIM Tunisia has partnered with well-known national and international companies specialised in BIM, such as MASSA Interior Design & Architecture, BIM in Touch, Robobat Afrique, and IBIMS. Subsequently, Kaouthar Jedda became the partner and official francophone representative of the magazine, BIM Arabia. In 2020, She became a member of the Strategic Advisory Board for BIM AFRICA. Recently, Kaouthar joined the Future Horizons Group, as Lead Architect and BIM Manager at the Engineering Office in Tunisia, where she is in charge of NEOM Projects, the smart city of Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Hassane Jarar Oulidi – Professor, Hassania School of Public Works, Morocco
Dr Hassane is a Professor of Geospatial Technology and BIM at the Hassania School of Public Works, Morocco. He is a specialist in BIM, CIM and Geomatics and educational manager of the Master’s “BIM and its applications” of the EHTP. He works with many companies providing supports for managing and implementing GIS projects. His expertise covers Groundwater Management, Web Mapping, Spatial Analysis, and others.
Vity Claude Nsalambi – Vice-President – Ordem dos Arquitectos de Angola (OA)
Vity is an Angolan architect and graduate of UAN (University Agostinho Neto), and the International Master’s in BIM (Zigurat Global Institute of Technology & Universidad de Barcelona). He is a practising architect based in Luanda – Angola and lecturer/studio teacher at UAN. He is the founder of TOUCHÉ, LDA., participating in several projects from architecture to urban planning. As a world Citizen, communicating in five languages, he believes that it is possible to change the world in a balanced way through education, in full respect of nature, contributing positively to improve the quality of people’s life and wellbeing. Vity is also the Commissioner – Education Commission Africa South Region – AUA (African Union of Architects), Council Member – International Union of Architects (UIA), and Steering Committee Member – EDUCOM (Education Commission) & VCAE (Validation Council for Architectural Education) – UNESCO-UIA. He has participated as a Jury in various design contests, like UIA International Innovative Health Design Awards 2022, BAKU 2019 International Award, and the 1st UNESCO-UIA & MIDO Design Prize for Responsible Architecture.
Sileshi Tesema – Vice-Chairman, Ethiopian BIM Society (EBIMS)
Sileshi is the Vice-Chairman of Ethiopian BIM Society (EBIMS). He was awarded BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering Kingston University, and MSc in Building Information Management (BIM) from the University of Westminster. He was awarded EngTech from the Engineering Council UK and is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and BRE. He is a Certified BIM Practitioner with Global BIM Certification from BRE, UK. He volunteers for the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) local networks, the Ethiopian community in the UK as Secretary of E4E UK (Ethiopians for Ethiopian UK).
Asmae Laaouane – BIM and Civil Engineer, ANEP, Morocco
As a BIM and Civil Engineer, Asmae bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. She is currently serving as a Project Manager at Agence Nationale des Équipements Publics (ANEP), a leading Public Institution of Project Management and Assistance in AEC. She is also also a BIM instructor at the Engineering school – EHTP. Her specialized Master’s degree in BIM Management further demonstrates her commitment to advancing the field, alongside her technical expertise and passion for teaching.
Jamila Faniyi – Managing Director, M&E Kaiser Limited, Nigeria
Jamila holds a bachelor’s degree in Building from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Lagos, and lots of training both locally and internationally including Harvard Business School, Boston and Lagos Business School. She began her career in construction as a planning engineer in Civil and MEPF construction planning, procurement, logistics and general project management, on both operations and management level. She’s a BIM enthusiast and a change leader. With her wealth of experience and sense of responsibility, she is currently an Executive Director in Construction Kaiser and the Managing Director, M&E Kaiser Limited.
Joao Dias Pereira – Instructor, ENSAM – La Réunion
Joao is an Architect and expert in BIM & Smart City with international experience. He collaborated in the construction of the Philharmonie de Paris, of the Louis Vuitton Foundation. In 2017, he moved to Reunion Island to join an R&D and BIM team. His previous experience and his Master’s studies in BIM & Smart City Management prepared him well for his last position within a BIM team, for a multinational dedicated to the construction of Reunion, Madagascar, Mayotte, and Mauritius islands. Currently Teacher in Sciences, Environmental Technologies, BIM and AEC software for ENSAM the National School of Architecture of Reunion Island.
