The BIM Africa Student Advocacy Program 2020 is designed to create BIM awareness amongst students of Tertiary Institutions in Africa. Kickstarted in 2018 with an inaugural batch sponsored by Autodesk.

After 8 months of learning, exploring, practising, and teaching the fundamentals of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in tertiary institutions across Africa, the 2019 edition witnessed victory from the following institutions.

  1. University of Ilorin, Kwara, Nigeria
  2. Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology, Nairobi, Kenya
  3. Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun, Nigeria

With sponsorship from Autodesk, All three teams were sponsored to attend the West Africa Digital Construction and the winning team sponsored to Kenya for the Big 5 Construct. Read report here

Opened for application between October 21st to December 16th 2019, the total application received for the 2020 batch recorded 237 teams from 97 Tertiary Institutions spread across 19 African Countries. Evaluation of gender representation reflected 372 Male applicants and 102 Female applicants.

After a thorough evaluation, 50 teams have been selected from 50 Tertiary Institution spread across 16 African countries. Presenting the BIM Africa Student Advocates 2020!. View complete list!.
